Requirements:
Qualifying Period:
- You must have lived continuously and lawfully in the UK for 10 years, during which you can combine different visa categories
- You must have held your current visa for at least one year
- During these 10 years, if you have stayed in the UK on a visitor visa, short-term study visa, or seasonal work visa, or have any period of overstaying, that time will not be counted
Continuous Residence:
According to the latest immigration regulations, you must meet the following three requirements:
- Prior to 11 April 2024, any single absence from the UK must be less than 184 days
- In the relevant period before 11 April 2024, the total number of days spent outside the UK must not exceed 548 days
- After April 11, 2024, any time spent outside the UK within a 12-month period must not exceed 180 days.
- If you have been absent from the UK due to special circumstances, e.g., COVID-19, or compelling and compassionate personal circumstances such as life-threatening illness, these types of absence might be considered as permitted absences, please contact us for more details
Relevant exams:
- English Requirements: You can provide relevant academic qualifications or pass the UK Life Skills B1 exam
- Pass the Life in the UK Test
Procedure:
- Must apply inside UK
- Select standard service (6 months) or super priority service (1 working day)
- Must remain in the UK while the application is pending, otherwise the application will be considered as withdrawn
