注册为英国公民（英国境外申请）
如果您是“英国国籍（香港）甄选计划”的第二代人士，且您的子女出生在英国境外，他们是否能自动获得英国国籍，主要取决于以下三个因素：
- 您出生时，您的父母之一是否拥有英国国籍
- 您的子女出生时，您是否拥有英国国籍
- 您是否在子女出生前已在英国连续居住三年，且在此期间离境不超过270天，并能提供相关居住证明
如果您符合上述三项条件，您在英国境外出生的子女可直接申请注册为英国公民
注册为英国公民（英国境内申请）
如果您不符合上述三项条件——例如，您出生时父母并未持有英国国籍，或您在子女出生前三年未在英国居住——那么您的子女只能在全家（包括您、配偶及子女）在英国居住满三年后，才可申请注册为英国公民。在这三年期间，家庭成员的累计离境时间不得超过270天。
